Diverge Then Converge
Two-phase brainstorming that beats the usual 5 safe ideas: 20 unfiltered ideas first, then a critical editor clusters, picks 5, and kills the rest.

I need ideas for: [problem/goal]. Run this as a two-phase brainstorm, don't collapse both phases together. Phase 1 (diverge): generate 20 ideas, as varied and even "bad"/weird as possible — quantity over quality, no self-censoring, include at least a few that feel obviously impractical (sometimes those spark the best real idea). Phase 2 (converge): now act as a critical editor. Group the 20 into 3-4 clusters by theme. Pick the top 5 based on [criteria, e.g. "feasible in 2 weeks, high impact, low cost"] and explain why each made the cut. Kill the rest with a one-line reason each. Don't skip straight to phase 2 — show phase 1 in full first.
