Archetype-Driven UI Prompt

Forces selection of specific design archetype, palette, and typography before generating UI. Prevents generic output by requiring self-audit and iteration. Popular in design communities.

Prompt text

I need you to design a UI component with extreme attention to visual identity.

Before you begin, you must:

1. **Choose ONE visual archetype**: Bauhaus grid, brutalist editorial, Swiss minimal, terminal/HUD, atelier/craft, art deco, riso print, newsprint, ledger, or zine. Describe it in 2-3 sentences.

2. **Define palette**: Select from clay/ochre/terracotta, ink/bone/mustard, charcoal/lime, oxblood/cream, navy/copper, or monochrome + one accent. List 3-4 hex codes.

3. **Choose typography**: Pick TWO typefaces. One must be monospace. Options: Space Mono, Space Grotesk, IBM Plex Mono, IBM Plex Sans, Fraunces, JetBrains Mono, Söhne, Recoleta, GT America, Tiempos.

4. **Select 3 detail techniques**: corner brackets, scan lines, ASCII rules, hairline borders, rotated labels, monospace metadata, grid overlay, hand-drawn arrows, tape marks, numbered lists.

Then build the component using these constraints.

After building, perform a self-audit:
- List 3 ways the output still looks generic or AI-generated
- Fix each issue
- Return the improved version

Avoid: three-card grids, floating screenshots, gradient meshes, generic blue, Inter as sole font, marketing buzzwords.

Include: real numbers, dates, specific tool names in microcopy.
